hi friends! last week Thursday, I found myself back with the wonderful Jade at Love More Studio in Brighton to add two more western themed tattoos to my collection!

Both tattoos are at the top of my left arm, and they've filled the gap so perfectly! Jade did such an incredible job at replicating my favourite pair of cowboy boots, that I've worn pretty much daily since 2022 - and now they'll always be with me, even when the weather starts to heat up, and I start to struggle to wear knee high boots (even the most honky tonk of country girlies amongst us have to switch to trainers when it gets close to 30 degrees in the UK!)

I sent her two photos of my cowboy boots, one which I'll attach here as it has the cutest cat ever in it, and she was able to use it to recreate my boots in tattoo form so perfectly, and I'm in love with it. The design of them being kicked up, wild and free, out of the photo frame is so gorgeous!

If you know anything about me then you already know that I was born and raised on country music, the musical soundings of Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, Shania Twain, and many more, filled my ears before I spoke my first word, and I've only continued to grow more in love with country music as I've gotten older, so my outline of a cowgirl tattoo is an ode to all of my favourite country women, (including fictional Lyla Sage characters, and myself).

I've absolutely loved the idea of getting a cowgirl tattoo for a few years, but knew that the classic pin up cowgirl style wouldn't fit in with the rest of my tattoos, so I absolutely adore that the tattoo Jade designed has the essence of a traditional pin-up cowgirl with the ribbon bolo tie and freckles, mixed with a fineline twist and long, wavy hair like mine. Both tattoos are so quintessentially me, and I'm obsessed!

Last week Thursday was also our fourth wedding anniversary, so we were in Brighton for a fun day out together, and returned to Al Duomo, a gorgeous Italian restaurant that we hadn't been back to since 2017, when we'd been together for less than two years, which is crazy as we're now approaching our ten years this year! It was so fun to go back and spend some time there together, and we then finished off our western themed anniversary by going to buck n bull for a line dancing lesson, and to see a live country band on Friday night - the line dancing was much harder than it looks, but we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

As always, I've popped this into the 'tattoos' category on my blog, so feel free to have a scroll through that if you missed any of my previous rundowns of my tattoos.
